ֱ’s Jupiter Lifelong Learning Society (LLS) has announced a partnership with  FAU’s Academy for Community Inclusion students to provide students with internship opportunities. The Academy is designed to offer students with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have completed high school various opportunities to earn certificates in “Supported Employment Skills,” “Supported Community Access,” and “Supported Living Skills.”

“We are excited to provide these students with opportunities to learn employment skills,” said Josette Valenza, director of the LLS. “Our members, staff and faculty are supportive and welcome these ֱstudents. They will help with class set up, greet our members when they come to class by assisting with check-in and provide clerical support in our administration office.”

The ֱAcademy for Community Inclusion began in the spring of 2016 and serves a population that is in need for enrichment and educational opportunities beyond high school graduation. The programs offered are suited to these student’s needs and are held in an inclusive higher education environment at ֱJupiter. For more information, visit the ֱAcademy for Community Inclusion at .
