ֱ recently honored faculty and staff at the Employee Service Award Ceremony at its Boca Raton campus. The event recognized several employees for their outstanding service to the university.

Financial aid coordinator Suzanne Paton was awarded the 2022 President’s Leadership Award. The award honors an employee’s extraordinary effort and benefit to the university community, and the winner is selected by ֱPresident John Kelly from a pool of nominees.  

“Suzanne stepped into a leadership role and orchestrated the distribution of $57,642,818 in Coronavirus Emergency Grants to students during a time of uncertainty and complexity,” said Tracy Boulukos, assistant vice president for financial aid & new student service initiatives. “Her extraordinary efforts facilitated the financial support for students to continue their studies.”

Paul Agostinelli, director of student financial aid IT operations, and Mitchell Roshel, assistant director, career center senior liaison, were awarded the Jeffrey Gabor Exemplary Employee Award.

Rebecca Dixon, program assistant in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, and Taina Teran-Campbell, administrative services coordinator in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters, were awarded the iTHINK Financial Customer Service Award.

The 2022 University Faculty Service Award recipient is Adam Dobrin, Ph.D., from the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice.

Employees with five years to 50 years of service were also recognized for their time with the university. Boyd Breslow of the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, and James Hartman of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, were honored for 50 years of service to FAU.
