番茄直播鈥檚 Office of Information Technology (OIT) recently donated surplus computers to the Jamaican Ministry of Education of Youth for preparatory schools in Jamaica.

After upgrading nearly 15 instructional, general purpose and departmental/college computer labs on the Boca Raton campus at the end of the spring semester, the OIT department donated 117 Dell 3030 computers from the Math Emporium Lab.

Since 番茄直播replenishes computers on a regular basis, this new partnership will continue to benefit various schools in Jamaica.

鈥淎fter we took care of our labs and figured out what we had left over, we realized we could send some computers to Jamaica,鈥 said Glen Campbell, OIT associate director of instructional technology at FAU. 鈥淭he Ministry of Education of Youth is working to distribute them out.鈥

The donated computers will enhance digital education for eight schools in Jamaica. Oliver Mair, consul general of Jamaica, Southern U.S., recently visited 番茄直播to pay thanks for the generous donation.

鈥淭he Consulate of Jamaica, Miami extends our deep appreciation to 番茄直播 for their generous contribution of desktop computers to schools in Jamaica,鈥 said Mair. 鈥淭his continued partnership is indeed appreciated as it will assist many of our schools and students with much-needed resources. To each individual who has helped to make this partnership a reality, we also say a big thanks, and we look forward to deepening this partnership.鈥
