FPL Donates $100,000 to ֱTech Runway
Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) continues its longstanding support of technology and innovation by announcing a $100,000 gift to help renovate the entrance to ֱTech Runway®. The updated entrance, complete with cell phone charging stations, was recently unveiled at ֱTech Runway® during a special reception.
“FPL’s incredible generosity makes a direct and substantial contribution to the success of the ֱTech Runway® program and the entrepreneurs we serve,” said , associate vice president for research and the managing director for ֱTech Runway®. “We are exceptionally grateful to be in partnership with the FPL team, and we highly value FPL’s profound commitment to entrepreneurship.”
Under the purview of the ֱDivision of Research, Tech Runway® is a public-private partnership formed to cultivate technology start-ups and early-stage companies. ֱTech Runway® fosters the growth of students, faculty and local innovators and provides them with the resources they need to thrive in a synergetic environment.
“ֱTech Runway® is providing students, professors and Florida entrepreneurs with the mentoring expertise, space and financial backing to develop successful technologies and cultivate industry start-ups to help move Florida forward,” said Donald Kiselewski, chairman of ֱTech Runway® advisory board and senior director of external affairs for FPL. “FPL is dedicated to providing the resources necessary to establish a creative, collaborative workspace and grow ֱTech Runway® to yield more entrepreneurial opportunities.
