·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥Harbor Branch associate research professor Greg O'Corry-Crowe, Ph.D., and his Population Biology and Behavioral Ecology team recently published two papers in Marine Fisheries Review. The work was focused on a small, resident reproductive group of beluga whales in Alaska, which was conducted over several years in collaboration with the local community of Yakutat. The study focused on the genetic ecology, population origins and traditional knowledge of the unusual, isolated group of whales, which was also the first study of its kind in that area.
