The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at ֱ in Jupiter will present two lectures by Kevin Wagner, Ph.D., a professor of political science at FAU, on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at noon and Thursday, Dec. 5 at 9:30 a.m., in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute complex at FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.

“Race for the White House” will give an in-depth look at how the presidential race is developing. Wagner will explore the movements and transitions in the run for president by reviewing the changes in political media, parties, interest groups and public opinion.

“The Politics of Primaries” will examine the nature and history of the presidential selection process. Using visuals and the latest political events, Wagner will explore what it takes to win a nomination to be president.

Wagner received a M.A., Ph.D. and a J.D. from the University of Florida. One of the leading authorities on the effects of technology on politics and campaigning, he has lectured extensively on American politics and has been cited in many leading newspapers including The New York Times, Washington Post and Boston Globe. He has also been featured on NBC’s “The Today Show.”
