The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at ֱ in Jupiter will present a virtual lectures series, “The Sally Lapides and Art Solomon 2021 Winter Lecture Series,” via Zoom webinars and include: 

  • Wednesday, Feb. 3, “Book Stories,” presented by James Patterson, an American author and philanthropist, and moderated by Taylor Hagood, Ph.D., a professor of  American literature at FAU. This presentation will examine the fictional characters and series of novels that Patterson has written. This lecture is generously sponsored by Ken and Felice Hassan.

  • Saturday, Feb. 20, “The Professor’s Professor: The 2020 National Election and U.S. Foreign Policy,” presented by Harry I. Chernotsky, Ph.D., a professor of political science at the University of North Carolina, and Jeffrey Morton, Ph.D., a professor of political science at FAU. This presentation will explore the foreign implications of the 2020 presidential election. This lecture is generously sponsored by Connie and Jules Kay.

  • Saturday, March 6, “An Afternoon with Jon Meacham,” presented by the presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author. This lecture will discuss Meacham’s latest book, “Truth Is Marching On: John Lewis and the Power of Hope,” and is generously sponsored by Bill and Gail Boyan.
